Redmond, Washington, 30 July 2026 – Microsoft’s latest results have given investors clearer evidence that enormous spending on artificial-intelligence infrastructure is translating into cloud revenue. Strong Azure growth, a better-than-expected quarterly performance and rising paid adoption of AI tools helped offset concern about the capital required to keep expanding capacity.
Revenue for the quarter reached about US$90 billion, an increase of 18% from a year earlier, while net income rose to roughly US$35.8 billion. Earnings of US$4.81 per share exceeded market expectations. Azure growth accelerated to about 43%, and annual revenue from the cloud platform passed US$100 billion for the first time.
