San Diego, California, 30 July 2026 – Qualcomm’s weaker-than-expected profit outlook has renewed investor concern over the chipmaker’s exposure to Apple as the iPhone producer accelerates its shift toward internally designed modem technology. Solid quarterly results were overshadowed by guidance that points to a faster reduction in a historically important revenue stream.
Qualcomm reported fiscal third-quarter revenue of about US$9.9 billion and non-GAAP earnings of US$2.21 per share. The results showed continuing demand for premium smartphone processors and contributions from automotive and connected-device businesses, but the market focused on the following quarter.
