Fed Uncertainty Keeps Global Investors Focused on Warsh’s Signal

Washington, 29 July 2026 – Global investors entered the Federal Reserve’s decision window with unusual uncertainty over how Chairman Kevin Warsh will balance inflation risk, economic momentum and the central bank’s newly neutral policy language.

At its June meeting, the Federal Open Market Committee maintained the federal funds target range at 3.5% to 3.75%. Policymakers also removed wording that had suggested an easing bias, signalling that future decisions would depend more explicitly on incoming data and the balance of risks.
