Kuala Lumpur, 29 July 2026 – Permodalan Nasional Berhad has reinforced Malaysia’s standing among global institutional investors after emerging as the country’s highest-ranked organisation in the 2026 Governance, Sustainability and Resilience Scoreboard. The state-owned fund manager placed joint fourth worldwide, a sharp rise from 17th position a year earlier.
The assessment covers more than 200 sovereign investors and measures the quality of governance, sustainability practices and institutional resilience. PNB recorded an overall score of 88%, comprising 90% for governance, 100% for sustainability and 60% for resilience. That combination signals strong stewardship credentials while also showing where further institutional strengthening may be required.
