Malaysia Offers Free AI Access to 100,000 Youths in Digital Skills Push

Cyberjaya, Malaysia, 28 July 2026 – Malaysia will provide three months of free access to leading artificial-intelligence software for young people who complete approved digital courses, widening participation in a technology the government views as central to future productivity.

The first cohort will target Malaysians aged 18 to 30 through the Rakyat Digital platform. The programme is expected to benefit 100,000 participants and will be launched on Merdeka Day as part of the wider AI Untuk Rakyat initiative.
