Beijing, 27 July 2026 – Chinese artificial intelligence startup Moonshot AI is releasing the model weights for Kimi K3, allowing developers to download, host and customise one of China’s most capable AI systems as competition with leading United States platforms intensifies.
The public release could significantly broaden Kimi K3’s global reach by giving businesses and researchers greater control over how the model is deployed. Users will no longer be limited to accessing the technology through Moonshot’s consumer application or cloud-based programming interface.
