Hangzhou, 26 July 2026 – Chinese artificial intelligence developer DeepSeek has temporarily suspended discussions for its second fundraising round, delaying a proposed transaction that could have valued the company at approximately 500 billion yuan, or US$74 billion.
The Hangzhou-based company verbally informed several prospective investors that investment agreements would not be signed in the coming days. The fundraising process could resume later, although no revised timetable has been established.
