San Francisco, 1 June 2026 – Dell Technologies has introduced a new XPS 13 laptop starting at US$699, marking a renewed push into the affordable premium laptop segment as it seeks to challenge Apple’s lower-priced MacBook Neo and win over students, young professionals and price-conscious buyers.
The new XPS 13 represents Dell’s attempt to make one of its best-known consumer laptop lines more accessible at a time when competition in the personal computer market is intensifying. During the back-to-school season, Dell is offering the device at a discounted price of US$599 for students aged 16 and above, placing it directly against Apple’s MacBook Neo, which was launched at US$599 and offered at a lower student price.
