Singapore, 22 May 2026 – China’s first humanoid robot-focused incubator is preparing to expand into Southeast Asia through a planned Singapore office, marking a significant step in the region’s push to turn physical artificial intelligence from laboratory demonstrations into real-world commercial deployment.
The Shanghai Humanoid Robot Innovation Incubator is looking to open its Singapore office in the second half of 2026, with the aim of connecting Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers to Singapore’s healthcare, education, security, finance, household and operational-support use cases. The incubator has already helped robotics companies in China test products and bring them closer to market, as humanoid robotics gains strategic importance in China’s broader AI and advanced manufacturing agenda.
