New York, 22 May 2026 – Goldman Sachs has agreed to pay US$500 million to settle a shareholder class action lawsuit linked to its role in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal, marking another major financial resolution connected to one of the world’s largest corruption cases.

The settlement amount was disclosed in a filing at the federal court in Manhattan, after the parties had earlier reached an agreement without revealing the terms. The settlement remains subject to court approval.
