Washington, 11 May 2026 – The World Bank Group has placed data at the centre of global development decision-making with the launch of its Atlas of Global Development 2026, a public resource designed to help policymakers, researchers, journalists and citizens better understand how the world is changing.
The new Atlas brings together 121,249 data points, 107 datasets and 95 interactive visualisations, covering 12 key development topics. According to the World Bank Group, the platform is intended to transform complex development questions into visual insights that show where progress is accelerating and where momentum is slowing.
