Kuala Lumpur, 6 May 2026 – Visa has launched its Visa Agentic Ready programme in Malaysia as part of a wider Asia Pacific rollout, partnering with Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad, CIMB Bank Berhad, Hong Leong Bank and Maybank to prepare the payments ecosystem for the next phase of AI-driven commerce.
The programme is designed to support banks and issuers as commerce becomes increasingly automated through agentic commerce, where artificial intelligence agents may initiate and complete transactions on behalf of consumers within defined permissions, controls and security frameworks.
