Kuala Lumpur, 5 May 2026 – Snowflake has integrated ILMU, Malaysia’s homegrown sovereign large language model developed by YTL AI Labs, into its AI Data Cloud platform, enabling Malaysian organisations to run generative AI on governed enterprise data within an in-country deployment environment.
The integration is supported by Snowflake’s availability on the AWS Asia Pacific Malaysia Region, which allows enterprise AI workloads to be deployed securely within Malaysia. This gives organisations a pathway to adopt artificial intelligence while addressing data residency, governance and compliance requirements, particularly in regulated sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, retail and the public sector.
