Khazanah Leads Malaysia’s First Tokenised Sukuk Pilot With SC Collaboration

Kuala Lumpur, 28 April 2026 – Khazanah Nasional Berhad has successfully priced Malaysia’s first tokenised sukuk in collaboration with the Securities Commission Malaysia, marking a major step in the country’s effort to modernise its Islamic capital market through digital technology.

The pilot sukuk carries a nominal value of RM100 million and forms part of the Sukuk Danum Programme, an Islamic Medium-Term Notes programme of up to RM20 billion in nominal value. The inaugural tranche has a one-year tenure and is structured under the Shariah principle of Wakalah bi al-Istithmar.
