Taylor Swift Moves To Trademark Voice And Likeness As AI Deepfake Risks Intensify

New York, 28 April 2026 – Taylor Swift has filed new trademark applications covering parts of her voice and image, in a legal move that reflects growing concern among global artists over artificial intelligence misuse, voice cloning and deepfake content.

The filings were submitted through TAS Rights Management to the United States Patent and Trademark Office and cover two short audio clips of Swift introducing herself, along with a specific image of the singer performing on stage during the Eras Tour. The move appears designed to give Swift additional legal tools to challenge unauthorised AI-generated content that imitates her voice, identity or likeness.
