SINGAPORE – Zoom Communications has unveiled its new Singapore office at Marina Bay’s IOI Central Boulevard (West Tower), marking a significant step in its Asia-Pacific expansion strategy. The 7,500 sq ft facility, situated on the 24th floor, will replace the company’s former co-working space at Asia Square Tower 2. Employees are expected to begin operating from the new office next Monday.
The move underscores Zoom’s commitment to Singapore, a country the company describes as highly connected, business-friendly, and strategically vital. “It would be crazy not to open an office here,” said Steve Rafferty, Zoom’s head of EMEA and APAC, noting that around half of the firm’s 7,000 global employees are based outside the United States.

Lucas Lu, Zoom’s Asia head, highlighted that Singapore remains a key growth market for the company, with rising staff numbers necessitating a larger and more permanent workplace. He described the facility as “a proper Zoom office” that provides employees with a stronger working environment and reflects the company’s long-term vision in the region.
In addition to office space, Zoom has dedicated 2,000 sq ft to its Zoom Experience Hub. This expanded facility, more than double the size of its previous iteration, allows customers to engage in tailored, immersive product demonstrations. The company has also reinforced its technological footprint in Singapore with the recent establishment of a new data centre.

During a media preview, Zoom showcased a suite of artificial intelligence-powered tools introduced this year. These include an AI companion capable of rescheduling appointments, summarising chats, comparing documents, and drawing on past meeting notes to help users catch up quickly. The firm also demonstrated features aimed at frontline workers, such as digital task management, attendance functions, and instant translation of messages.
Zoom’s latest innovation, the Zoom Virtual Agent, was also introduced. Unlike traditional pre-recorded systems, the AI-driven agent can handle real-time customer inquiries—such as resolving membership access issues—while escalating complex cases to human service officers when necessary.

By anchoring itself more firmly in Singapore, Zoom is not only enhancing employee experience but also strengthening customer engagement, while positioning the city-state as a central hub for its Asia-Pacific growth strategy.
