Kuala Lumpur, 26 January 2026 – Radium Development Berhad has contributed RM30,000 towards the upgrading of school facilities at SMK St Mary, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to community development and long-term social impact through meaningful corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The contribution is aimed at improving key school facilities to create a more comfortable, safe and conducive learning environment for both students and educators. The initiative is expected to benefit 1,075 students as well as 96 academic and non-academic staff, enhancing overall wellbeing within the school community.
The cheque presentation ceremony was held at the school and attended by representatives from Radium Development, alongside members of the school’s Board of Governors and the Parents-Teachers Association, underscoring a shared commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure through public-private collaboration.
Group Managing Director Gary Gan Kah Siong said the initiative reflects Radium’s belief that education-centric environments play a vital role in shaping future generations. He noted that SMK St Mary was selected in line with the Group’s philosophy of giving back to communities located within the vicinity of its developments, ensuring that growth is inclusive and socially responsible.
The initiative also aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). By supporting essential facility upgrades, the programme contributes to building more resilient and sustainable educational spaces in urban communities.
