Superbrands Malaysia 2025 Recognises 42 Leading Brands at 17th Edition Gala

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 November 2025Superbrands Malaysia 2025 marked its 17th edition with a glittering gala at M Resort Bukit Kiara, celebrating 42 brands recognised as the most valuable and trusted in the market. This year’s awards highlight the growing strength of local brands, many of which are expanding beyond Malaysia’s consumer markets to achieve international recognition.

The Superbrands Malaysia Awards are considered a significant milestone in corporate branding. Winning brands were represented by their chief executive officers, managing directors, marketing directors and senior PR executives, making the event a showcase of excellence and a celebration of Superbrands status.

Brands participating in the programme are entitled to use the prestigious Superbrands logo on advertising, packaging and marketing communications. Their stories are also featured in the Superbrands Reference Book and on the official Superbrands website, further amplifying their achievements.

The 2025 awards were presented by guest of honour K Haridas, Chair of the Business Ethics Institute of Malaysia (BEIM) and President of the Council of Management of the Association for the Promotion of Higher Education in Malaysia (APHEM). VIP guest Mahadir Mohamed Arifin, better known as Mahamahu in the social media world, and MATRADE Senior Director for Strategic Planning, Remee Yaakub, also graced the evening.

Superbrands Malaysia Director Mike English remarked:

“Tonight we celebrate brilliance and brands that have earned trust, inspired loyalty and turned ordinary products into extraordinary stories. A brand begins with belief, and belief is born inside your own walls long before it reaches the outside world.”

Haridas congratulated the winners, emphasising that the awards are not merely a recognition of successful marketing but a tribute to the art and soul of branding:

“Social media today has given brands both wings and mirrors; wings to soar across borders and mirrors that reflect every action, good or bad, instantly. The best brands are not those that shout the loudest but those that speak the truth, act responsibly and listen deeply.”

English added:

“The greatest campaigns in the world cannot save a brand that its own people do not believe in. But when your team becomes your loudest cheerleaders, your most passionate advocates, your living and breathing proof, then your brand doesn’t just live in the marketplace. It lives in hearts.”

In his closing remarks, Haridas outlined six critical factors for new brands to evolve and endure:

  • Define your purpose
  • Be authentic
  • Deliver consistently
  • Listen to your audience
  • Embrace technology and innovation while maintaining the human touch
  • Build integrity into your DNA to create a lasting reputation
