HONG KONG, 27 October 2025 – NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited (NetDragon) has signed a strategic partnership with Open University Malaysia (OUM) to explore artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies applications in open and distance learning. The signing took place in Fuzhou, Changle on 23 October 2025.
NetDragon is a leader in interactive technology with a strong global edtech business presence. Its software and interactive displays are used in over one million learning and training spaces in 126 countries.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Chen Hong, Senior Vice President of NetDragon and Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin Md Ninggal, Vice President/Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research) of OUM.
Key priorities include exploring AI-driven digital teaching content, advanced technology certification and laboratory development, curriculum development, and the establishment of a comprehensive digital education platform.
NetDragon and OUM will work together to incorporate intelligent learning analytics into the university’s leaning management system. This includes an AI-enhanced psychometric profiling system and a psychological wellness dashboard. These systems will provide information on learners’ behaviours and emotions to help tailor personalised learning interventions.
Other areas for collaboration involve micro-certification systems for academic credibility, and block-chain based digital credentialling.

OUM is the first open university in Malaysia, offering 35 learning centres nationwide, with over 60 online programmes and serving 40,000 students.

The event was also attended by Dr. Simon Leung, Vice Chairman of NetDragon and Prof. Datin Dr. Santhi Raghavan, Vice President/Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Learner Experience and Technology) of OUM.
