Malaysia Airlines and Trip.Biz Sign Strategic MOU to Strengthen SME Business Travel Worldwide

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 November 2025 — Malaysia Airlines and Trip.Biz, the business-travel division of Trip.com Group, have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with enhanced business-travel solutions, broader market access and seamless digital integration across global travel corridors.

The partnership marks a significant step forward in strengthening Malaysia Airlines’ corporate-travel ecosystem by embedding its MHcorporate SME programme directly into Trip.Biz’s global booking platform, enabling thousands of SME customers to access exclusive fares and travel benefits across 25 markets worldwide.

A Strategic Alliance to Scale SME Travel

Through the MOU, Malaysia Airlines plans to extend Trip.Biz’s access to MHcorporate SME fares across applicable markets and IATA locations. In return, Trip.Biz intends to position Malaysia Airlines as a preferred airline partner, allowing the national carrier to reach a broader international SME base seeking cost-efficient and reliable business-travel options.

The two organisations will also explore deeper system integration, including the feasibility of connecting Malaysia Airlines’ MHcorporate portal with Trip.Biz’s online booking tool (OBT) through API-driven collaboration. If implemented, this would streamline search, booking and management processes for SME travellers, ensuring an end-to-end digital experience.

Leadership Perspectives

Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines at Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said:

“This MOU reflects our dedication to simplifying corporate travel and empowering small and medium-sized enterprises to explore new opportunities. Trip.Biz is an industry leader in business travel management, and together we will expand our reach across 25 markets, offer personalised experiences and jointly champion initiatives that help our customers thrive.”

Trip.Biz CEO Dr Tao Song echoed this sentiment:

“We are delighted to partner with Malaysia Airlines, a carrier recognised for its Malaysian Hospitality and extensive regional network. This partnership aligns with our shared goal of enabling smarter, more efficient and cost-effective business-travel solutions for SMEs as they expand internationally.”

Delivering a Connected and Customer-Centric Travel Ecosystem

The collaboration merges the strengths of both organisations, Malaysia Airlines’ global service network and Trip.Biz’s digital innovation, to create an ecosystem tailored for evolving business-travel needs.

  • For SMEs, MHcorporate SME offers corporate-level benefits with no minimum spend, giving growing businesses access to flexible fares, exclusive discounts, simplified account management and value-added privileges.
  • For business-travel managers, Trip.Biz’s digital-first architecture supports traditional travel, hybrid work arrangements and rising bleisure trends, reinforced by predictive insights and an expanding global partner network.

Together, both companies aim to enhance affordability, convenience and scalability for enterprises navigating international markets, positioning the partnership as a catalyst for Malaysian and regional business growth.
