SINGAPORE, 28 October 2025 – Hong Kong-listed Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) group Gushengtang TCM has announced its expansion into Singapore with ambitious plans to establish 30 TCM clinics by 2026 and deploy its proprietary ‘Master TCM AI’ system across the island nation.
The move underscores Gushengtang’s commitment to integrating traditional healing with modern technology, focusing on three key growth areas: expanding its regional clinic network, advancing AI-driven clinical capabilities, and securing international certification for its medical products.
This expansion follows a strategic investment agreement with August Global Partners (AGP), a Singapore-based fund management company specialising in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and AI-powered health technologies. The partnership aims to achieve S$1 billion in revenue within seven years, leveraging Singapore as a launchpad for regional growth.
‘Master TCM AI’ marries heritage with innovation
Officially launched at GovWare 2025, the ‘Master TCM AI’ system combines three decades of clinical experience with cutting-edge artificial intelligence to support physicians in delivering precise, data-informed TCM care.
Developed using insights from 10 master physicians, the system covers eight major specialties: oncology, dermatology, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, andrology, psychology and sleep medicine, classical formula medicine, and orthopaedics.
The AI platform supports doctors through five key stages of patient care: symptom collection, medical record generation, syndrome differentiation, prescription formulation, and post-consultation follow-up.
For physicians, ‘Master TCM AI’ acts as a clinical co-pilot, offering evidence-based recommendations and case analysis support. For patients, it enhances continuity of care by tracking treatment outcomes and offering lifestyle advice rooted in TCM principles.
Strategic partnership with 1doc
Complementing its AI innovation, Gushengtang has formed a strategic partnership with 1doc, a subsidiary of IAPPS Health Group (IHG), to integrate TCM services into Western family clinics across Singapore.
Through this collaboration, patients will be able to consult both TCM and Western physicians under one roof, receiving coordinated, evidence-based care plans that combine modern diagnostics with traditional remedies.
The partnership leverages 1doc’s network of nine owned and 21 affiliated clinics, serving approximately 79,000 patients across the island.
“This partnership integrates modern medicine with traditional Chinese medicine in a coordinated, evidence-based approach,” said Dr Lam Pin Min, Chairman of IAPPS Health Group and former Minister of State for Health and Transport. “It reflects Singapore’s vision of patient-centred care, where both systems work together to deliver better outcomes.”
Supporting Singapore’s integrative health vision
Gushengtang’s expansion aligns with Singapore’s 2025 TCM Integrative Sandbox Initiative, which focuses on evaluating the efficacy and value-based outcomes of TCM treatments. The company views Singapore as both a gateway for international growth and a testbed for digital health integration.
“Our collaboration with 1doc and August Global Partners marks an important milestone in integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine into Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem,” said Mdm Vicky Liem, Vice President of Gushengtang TCM Group.
“By combining the clinical wisdom of master physicians with AI innovation and high-quality herbal medicine, we aim to elevate TCM standards, enhance therapeutic outcomes, and foster a collaborative East-West healthcare model for the benefit of all patients in Singapore.”
