KUALA LUMPUR, 28 October 2025 — Malaysian health and wellness conglomerate DXN Holdings Bhd (“DXN”) is charting a bold new chapter in its global growth story with plans to establish a coffee-processing factory in Minas Gerais, Brazil, one of the world’s most renowned coffee-producing regions.
The expansion signals DXN’s deepening commitment to Latin America, a region that now contributes approximately 60 percent of the Group’s total revenue, surpassing RM1 billion for the financial year 2025.
“Brazil is the next logical step in Latin America,” said Datuk Lim Siow Jin, Founder and Executive Chairman of DXN Holdings Bhd, speaking after the Malaysia–Brazil Business Summit 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. “That region is leading our growth, and we see Brazil’s demographic strength, coffee culture, and health awareness as highly complementary to our established presence in Peru and Bolivia.”

Also present at the event was Gillianno Mamão, Mayor of Ibia, Minas Gerais, who expressed strong local support for DXN’s planned investment.
A Strategic Leap Into Latin America’s Largest Market
The planned facility represents DXN’s first manufacturing investment in Brazil, and a major milestone in its two-decade journey of international expansion. The Group’s venture will extend beyond traditional coffee processing, it will include the transfer of proprietary Malaysian coffee technologies, such as civet-style fermentation and tea extraction from coffee leaves, innovations that are considered new to Brazil’s coffee industry.
“We plan to bring our technology and introduce a new concept in the Brazilian coffee industry,” Lim explained. “Malaysia has developed strong expertise in creating value-added coffee products, and we want to share that capability with the Brazilian market.”
The move is also a nod to Malaysia’s growing influence in global agri-food innovation, positioning DXN as a bridge between Asia’s wellness industries and Latin America’s vast agricultural potential.
Favourable Conditions and Government Support
Brazil’s climate and soil conditions, similar to Malaysia’s, make it ideal for DXN’s integrated production model, which emphasizes local cultivation and sustainable sourcing. According to Lim, the Ibia local government has offered attractive incentives, including 10 hectares of free land, simplified investment procedures, and lower land costs than in Malaysia.
“They offer many supports to foreign investors, affordable land, large spaces, and simple licensing. This is a big advantage for Malaysian companies looking to expand,” Lim said.
The formal signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between DXN and the Ibia municipal government is expected to take place in mid-November 2025 in Brazil.
Brazil Joins DXN’s Expanding Latin American Footprint
DXN currently operates in Mexico, Peru, and Bolivia, and opened its first registered office in São Paulo in April 2024 to manage regulatory compliance and early distributor activities. Since launching its operations there, the company has already gained over 11,000 members in Brazil, reflecting strong interest in Malaysian wellness and coffee products.
Globally, DXN now boasts over 10 million active members, with Latin America representing its fastest-growing market segment.
Mayor Mamão praised the collaboration as a “win-win for Brazil and Malaysia”, noting that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s government is eager to strengthen bilateral investment and industrial cooperation.
“As Mayor of Ibia, I welcome DXN’s plan to build a large factory in our city. Brazil and Malaysia will become strategic partners in investment and development,” Mamão said.
A Bridge Between Two Coffee Nations
The Minas Gerais project also highlights Malaysia’s emerging reputation as a technology and innovation exporter. By combining Malaysian coffee science with Brazil’s deep-rooted coffee culture, DXN is setting a precedent for cross-continental knowledge sharing and sustainable industry growth.
For DXN, which began as a small health and wellness enterprise before evolving into a multinational brand, the Brazil expansion underscores its vision to blend Asian expertise with local empowerment, creating not just coffee, but opportunity.
