KUALA LUMPUR, 18 October 2025 — Alpro Group, Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad, and Mercy Senior Care Centre Sdn Bhd have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly establish and operate a fully equipped nursing care centre in Suria Heights, Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing Malaysia’s nursing care ecosystem by combining Matrix’s property development expertise, Mercy’s professional experience in elderly care, and Alpro’s multidisciplinary healthcare network.

The upcoming 130-bed facility will cater to individuals requiring specialised nursing care, from long-term bedridden patients to those recovering from surgery, accidents, or chronic illnesses. Registered under the Ministry of Health, the centre will ensure every aspect of care, from clinical oversight to safety protocols, adheres to national healthcare standards.

Designed to bridge the gap between hospital recovery and home living, it will offer comprehensive, compassionate, and medically guided care in a community setting.

Through this partnership, Matrix Concepts provides community-based development expertise and a strategic location in Sendayan, accessible to families. Mercy Senior Care Centre contributes nearly three decades of experience managing licensed nursing and convalescent facilities.

On the other hand, Alpro Group brings its integrated healthcare ecosystem, comprising doctors, pharmacists, physiotherapists, dietitians, and other allied health professionals, to ensure continuous, evidence-based medical support. Together, they aim to establish a new benchmark for professional nursing care in Malaysia, one that combines clinical excellence, safety, and empathy.

Aligned with Malaysia’s updated national guidelines for elderly and nursing care under the Ministry of Health, the initiative focuses on licensed medical supervision, patient safety, rehabilitation, and quality assurance, positioning the centre as a model of compliant and community-centred nursing care.

“This partnership between Matrix Concepts, Alpro Group, and Mercy Home is more than a collaboration — it’s an investment in a cause that truly matters,” said Chai Keng Wai, Co-CEO of the Property Development Division, Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad.

“By combining our expertise in township development with Alpro’s healthcare excellence and Mercy Home’s dedication to elderly care, we’re creating an environment where people can live well, grow, and age with dignity.”

Cynthia Low Chee Moi, Managing Director of Mercy Senior Care Centre Sdn Bhd, added, “For 28 years, Mercy has dedicated itself to providing care with heart and dignity. This collaboration allows us to extend that mission, offering professional nursing and rehabilitative care for those transitioning from hospital to home.”

Dr. Ng Ming Lee, Medical Director of Alpro Clinic, shared, “As family doctors, we often see families struggle after hospital discharge. What they truly need is a place where professional care continues seamlessly beyond the hospital. This centre is our way of ensuring no family faces post-hospital care alone.”

With Malaysia projected to become an aged nation by 2030, the demand for long-term and post-hospitalisation care is rising sharply. This collaboration represents a timely response, a facility designed to integrate medical science, rehabilitation, and compassion so individuals of all ages can recover, rehabilitate, and live with dignity.
