Ryt Bank and Courtsite Partner to Power a New Era of Sports and Digital Innovation

Ryt Bank CEO Melvin Ooi and Courtsite Director Aaron Sheah exchange the MOU, witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Minister of Youth and Sports Hannah Yeoh at the ASEAN Sports Industry Expo 2025.

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 October 2025 – Ryt Bank, the world’s first AI-powered digital bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Courtsite, Malaysia’s leading sports booking platform, to bring together digital banking and sports technology in a groundbreaking collaboration that champions inclusion, innovation, and community growth.

The signing took place at the ASEAN Sports Industry Expo (EISA) 2025, held at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam, and was witnessed by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, and YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports.

Representing the two organisations were Mr. Melvin Ooi, Chief Executive Officer of Ryt Bank, and Mr. Aaron Sheah, Director of Courtsite.

A Collaboration Born from Shared Purpose

The partnership marks a milestone for two of Malaysia’s most forward-thinking brands, both committed to empowering communities through technology.

“This partnership reflects a simple belief – just as sports unite people, banking should help Malaysians participate, progress, and thrive,” said Melvin Ooi, CEO of Ryt Bank.

Through the collaboration, Ryt Bank and Courtsite will co-develop community-driven initiatives, lifestyle campaigns, and digital reward ecosystems that make sports participation and payments more seamless than ever.

Uniting Communities Through Sports and Technology

“Courtsite was built on the belief that sport is for everyone,” said Aaron Sheah, Director of Courtsite.

“It connects, uplifts, and unites communities. Partnering with Ryt Bank allows us to extend that same spirit into the digital space – where access, inclusion, and empowerment come together to shape a new way for Malaysians to live, play, and grow.”

With more than 600,000 users, 8 million booking hours, and 350 partner venues nationwide, Courtsite continues to lead Malaysia’s sports ecosystem by connecting players, venues, and communities through a single integrated platform.

The MOU aims to leverage Ryt Bank’s digital financial tools and Courtsite’s sports network to encourage active lifestyles and expand financial accessibility through lifestyle-driven rewards and integrated payment solutions.

Banking That Fits the Active Lifestyle

“Just as sports unite people through shared passion, banking should enable Malaysians to participate, progress, and thrive,” added Ooi.

“Our partnership with Courtsite reflects a simple belief that banking should fit seamlessly into everyday life, starting with something as familiar and inspiring as sports.”

The collaboration will see both brands introducing co-branded initiatives and community engagement programs designed to make paying and playing smarter, simpler, and more rewarding.

Moving Towards a Smarter, More Connected Future

As Malaysia’s sports industry evolves, the Ryt Bank–Courtsite partnership signifies a step towards a digitally connected and health-driven society — one where technology empowers both convenience and community.

Together, the two companies aim to inspire more Malaysians to play, move, and thrive, bridging the gap between lifestyle and finance through innovation.
